 Our Teachers

Our diverse group of teachers are all certified through the Yoga Alliance and passionate about delivering yoga to their communities.

  • Arti was first introduced to yoga as a child of Indian parents living in Oakville. Having practised for over 30 years, she's grateful that yoga has always been the anchor that kept things in check during a busy life including 3 children and 7 international moves.

After moving back home to Canada, Arti obtained her 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training Certificate at YogaSpace in Toronto. Shortly after her training, she felt inspired to create a not-for- profit organization where people practise yoga together while raising funds and awareness for important local & global causes and so yoga4good was born.

She is especially passionate about helping to improve wellness in a corporate environment, by providing a yoga that can alleviate stress and bring in some self care . Her teaching style emits a joyful energy with a compassionate calming delivery, focussing on the breath and a nurturing environment.

  • Jessica is a yoga, meditation, pilates and barre instructor dedicated to living, learning and sharing the transformational powers of mindful movement, stillness and breath.

A 500 Hour RYT graduate of the Yogaspace, Toronto, Teacher Training Program, Jessica has been practicing yoga since 2008. Creating an atmosphere of compassion, curiosity, inspiration and play, she invites students to explore the practice with self-inquiry, so that they feel confident and comfortable in their own bodies.

Beyond the physical practice, Jessica is deeply engaged in the study of yoga philosophy and hopes to inspire her students to integrate the mind-body-heart connection into daily life. She believes the movement practice is a means to coming into a deeper understanding of self, which sparks higher fulfillment in all aspects of life.

As a facilitator in the Yogaspace 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training Program, Jessica is passionate about mentoring new teachers to develop their skills, find their voice, and discover the teacher within.

  • Laura Bianchi’s yoga practice encourages kindness, peace and connection to the breath. Through conscious breathing, we connect to the present and the subtle energy within. Yoga has been a constant in Laura’s life as she made the transition from her life in Argentina to her life in Canada.

In her classes, Laura whole-heartedly supports and respects her students’ individual needs. We might want to build strength, resilience and flexibility. Sometimes, we come to the mat to find rest, support and deep relaxation. Laura meets all of her students where they are.

In addition to her 1000 hours of yoga therapist training and 300 hours of yoga teacher training Laura is also a trained instructor of yoga for children, restorative yin yoga, yoga for stress and anxiety and mindfulness meditation.

  • Emily has over 500 hours of certified yoga training through Yoga Space.

Her love of Vinyasa helped to manage her abundant energy, that if wasn’t channeled led down the road of anxiety. Through her Vinyasa practice she continues to build her personal discipline and stamina.

Her love of Flow yoga truly taught her the beauty of making the practice a moving meditation and how life-changing loving acceptance is. As taught to her by Bibi Rahim-Hahn, Flow yoga is of a Kundalini-Tantric lineage.

Her passion for Restorative Yoga has taught Emily the power or rest, space and stillness. Her Restorative classes are a deeply heartfelt offering combining meditation technique to still the mind and optional hands-on support and aromatherapy.

  • Sandy Pedrogao’s love of yoga began over 20 years ago. Her focus as a facilitator is on deep, intentional rest and helping people tune in to their bodies, finding peace and calm through mindful movement, pranayama and meditation. Sandy’s goal is to help people manage stress and find self-love and acceptance on and off the mat through her offerings of Reiki, Hatha and Restorative Yoga. No matter what their physical ability, shape or size, they can learn to find union between movement and breath and begin to learn to look inwards when searching for peace and joy.

Sandy is a graduate of the Yogaspace 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training program. Her daily practice continues to grow through mindfulness, additional certifications and the study of yoga philosophy.

  • Jeffrey has a 300-hour teacher training from Yoga Therapy Toronto (IAYT). His next teachers were the youth he met and taught in institutional and shelter environments, in which he’s been teaching since 2012. His basic style follows the Desikachar school of Hatha yoga, with a focus on the coordination of breath and movement, combined with an emphasis on interoceptive awareness.

He’s of the opinion that it is wiser to fit the pose to the body than the body to the pose, convinced that we must respect the fact that every body is different. He is big on verbal direction, but physical adjustments are rare in his classes.

  • Liv began practicing yoga as a teenager by attending morning yoga classes with her dad. She initially noticed how yoga made her feel more stable and safe in her body, and as her yoga practice got stronger she began to really notice the positive mental aspects associated with consistent yoga practice. In 2017 Liv completed her 200 hour teacher training at Yogaspace and has since completed several hundred hours leading up to being a 500 hour certified teacher. With several years experience as a vinyasa teacher, Liv is passionate about using the breath as a tool for centering both the body and mind. She also teaches hatha and restorative yoga, often while offering reiki, and is so grateful for the opportunity to be part of helping people shift into a more peaceful state. Liv is also a certified holistic nutritionist who specializes in nutrition and mindful eating practices for people with hormonal imbalances and ADHD.

Our Beginning

“Although I’ve been blessed to have experienced life in many parts of the world, Malawi was one of the most impactful. I was truly affected by the profound poverty and joy that seemed to coexist. It was here that I decided to found an organization that could do good in the world, through yoga. I’m grateful for my experiences with the women and children of this village who inspired me to start yoga4good.”
